Scheller, Alice (nee Marchitti) of Paterson at rest in Wayne on March 20, 2007. Alice was the daughter of the late John and Euphemia Marchitti, and a graduate of Central High School and Sherwood Secretarial School. She married William G. Scheller of Paterson in 1948, and the couple made their home for many years in the Eastside section of the city. She was a longtime employee of the old Lazzara Bread Company. Alices loving family and numerous friends will always remember her for her warm smile and cheerful disposition, and her great pride in her children and grandchildren and in her Italian heritage, with which she had a special connection following two visits to her ancestral village in Southern Italy. She was a superb cook, a diligent correspondent with her online friends, and a loyal Yankee fan. She is survived by her husband William, children William Jr. and Alice Mainville, and grandchildren David Scheller, Carla Blumenthal, and Nigel and Adriana Mainville. She was predeceased by her brother Ralph. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Friday at 8:30 A.M. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Paterson at 9:00 A.M. Interment at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. Friends may call Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. She was the Secretary to the Administrator of the Paterson Municipal Court, Paterson, NJ before retiring 10 years ago. She was a parishioner of St. Mary's R.C. Church, Paterson, NJ and belonged to MENSA. Survivors include her husband: William Scheller of Paterson, NJ A son: William Scheller of VT A daughter: Alice Manville of Amesbury, Mass. Also survived by 4 grandchlidren. Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa is in charge of arrangements.
