I met Maryann while teaching. She was a paraprofessional for some of my students, and we became friends. She was always smiling and was very kind. I still chuckle at the time when during a Halloween celebration at school, I saw Maryann walking up the hallway to my classroom pushing an enclosed baby carriage. I couldn’t see into the carriage at first, and my students started to get excited to see her and who I thought was a baby inside the carriage. Boy was I surprised when she pulled the enclosure away and inside sat Scooby, her cat! I didn’t know that my students knew Scooby and always looked forward to seeing his costume each year. When I told her my thoughts, we both had a good laugh. That memory still makes me smile. I’m glad I knew Maryann and I send her family my deepest sympathy for this great loss. Sincerely, Joanne Toole

Maryann was not only a cousin, she was also our next door neighbor and a friend. My parents loved when she visited with or without Uncle Vince and Aunt Viola. She was always so happy and sweet, loved talking with and being friendly to all. She was always so involved with her church, and school job, overextending herself. Maryann loved Wildwood, and welcomed us to visit at her condo whenever we went down, and we did. Maryann was also a very proud mom and grandmother. She was a caring wife to Benny, loved her daughter Kim, and her SIL Bing, but her granddaughter Penelope was the light of her life. I believe these last nine months were some of the happiest, if not THE happiest, nine months of her life. May she rest in peace.....she will be missed by all.

Hey Maryann, was remembering when we made that trip to Atlantic City on that cold, snowy night. I had gotten into an accident and the airbags imploded. You saw all that dust and started yelling Fire, Fire, Fire and was attempting to get out of car into incoming traffic. Luckily no injuries. When Benny picked us up after you called him from his part time job; the expression on his face said it all. I should have just say thanks but I asked him to continue the trip to Atlantic City. Thanks for your intervention; otherwise, people would have been reading my obituary the next day. Going to miss you Sis. Rest In Peace.

I met Maryann in Wildwood around 1968 at Stephanie Apts in Andrew Ave. Maryann was good at exact dates and places, me not so much. We looked very much alike as kids and always signed off with “love your twin”; plus are birthdays are one day apart!
Since we lived miles apart; growing up we would write lots of letters. We always found a way to share our birthdays together and even traveled to each other’s wedding. As we got older, we enjoyed our Monday or Thursday trips to the casino to get our free gifts. A casino trip wasn’t complete until we got Maryann’s chocolate milkshake. There were many years a group of us would leave very early on Labor Day morning and head to Caesars. That was a fun filled day of shopping, eating and playing slots. I loved shopping with Maryann whether it was malls or outlets. We never returned home until we had something for Kim and Scooby; both who she loved with all her heart.
My dear twin fought a battle with her health for many years and although I will miss her terribly, I know she is finally pain free. Rest In Peace my dear twin.

Maryann was my childhood babysitter and she was one of the biggest influences in my life as a child and memories of her love and times spent with her, Benny, and Kim will forever be some of the best I have. Maryann was not just my babysitter, she taught me so much and she loved me as her own. Our families had morphed into one and she was my second mother. My heart is so sad that she is no longer with us but I am also happy that she is no longer enduring any pain and resting forever with Uncle Vincent and Aunt Viola. I am also content to know that she lived a full and happy life, traveling, surrounded by love, and having met her sweet granddaughter. Maryann, you will be missed and forever loved by so many. Thank you for all you did for me in my young life, for all of your love, and for helping my mom raise me by being there when she couldn't. Rest in Peace, angel.

Maryann, your passing was a shock to us all. At least now you are pain free and with Vincent and Viola. I am happy you got to see your granddaughter. We'll all tell her about you. I know I couldn't or wouldn't even want to replace you and Benny as parents, but I promise I will be there for Kim as a parent would. I'm happy we had this past Christmas at my house together as a family. Who knew it would be the last. I know we banged heads a few times but I hope you knew I cared and loved you. One day we'll be together again. In Italian "La famiglia e per sempre.". means family is forever. Rest in peace.

Maryann, I will always remember the good times we had growing up. Whenever we went on vacations together we always had a great time. Whenever I had a problem you helped me solve it. We had great times together when we went out together. As a child growing up I took care of you. As years went on the roles reversed. We both had something in common, Qiuacker Factory. Even though in later years we didn't see each other as often, I always knew you were there. I'm sure you are now with mommy and daddy and eating veal cutlet parmesan. I'll always remember shopping for clothes with you and you always gave me an honest opinion. I will now have a third person to pray to. Now that you've not here I promise to always be there for Kim. I will miss you and think of you always until we are together again. I love you. Arleen

Maryann, my parent-in-law, my friend and my family. Thank you for everything. I will miss our funny, serious conversations while we together watch Penelope. Penelope couldn’t ask for a better Grandma. You are also a loving mother to Kim and Bing. I’m gonna miss attending mass with you whether at church or watching it in TV on Sunday mornings. We also had an amazing time on Easter dinner, lots of food and fun times. My last live memory of you is when Penelope gave you a good night kiss on your cheeks and blow kiss on Saturday night. We love you and your soul may Rest In Peace. God bless

My cousin, Maryann always had such a warm smile on her face. I was in her wedding party, one of the happiest days for her. Another happiest day was when she had her daughter, Kimberly. How proud she was of Kim through the years, especially when she gave her a beautiful granddaughter. Our families would go to Wildwood each summer, swimming in the ocean and playing games on the boardwalk. Every time I visited her house, all of the animals would run to greet me. Each so loved by my cousin. She is at peace now and will remain in the hearts of many, including mine. God bless her and her family.

It’s only fitting that the photo you chose to use is one from what I am sure is inside Blessed Sacrament Church. Maryann throughout her entire life lives for the Blessed Sacrament community. This is a difficult day for me as it is for all that knew her. We were cousins living next door to each other for more of our lives than not. Maryann was more a sister than a cousin. And Maryann also was so loving and took care of her Aunt Jean too after her Uncle Al passed. Family and everyone was what Maryann lived for. And then Benny came and then her pride and joy Kimmie. I remember one of our last conversations was how much she hoped to meet her grandchild which we all know now that she was blessed to meet Penelope and spend 9 months with her. Maryann got she prayed for. Thank you God. Maryann was always was there for all. Rest In Peace Mare. I will miss you. Love you, your cousin Ralphie. Other than my mom, Maryann was the only one that called me Ralphie.

Mom,
I cannot believe that I have to write this so soon. I have no words and cannot think of a world without you watching your gameshows, going down to wildwood, buying all of the junk food you loved but weren’t supposed to eat, or just seeing you with Penelope. I am so glad you were able to meet her and spend time with her - you were able to see her clap, crawl, say dada, stand up and try to walk, and give you kisses. I will make sure she knows all about you.
You were so strong and suffered a long time, but you cared for everyone you met. You loved your cat Scooby and took him everywhere. I even called you the crazy cat lady. You loved daddy so much and took care of him for so long.
Please do not worry. I will take care of daddy and Scooby.
I will always love you. I know you are now P’s guardian angel.
Rest easy,
Kimmie

#1...Maryann and I grew up together. We lived across the street from each other and from the age of kindergarten through high school we saw each other pretty much every day. Summers were filled with playing on the swings in my backyard, riding our bikes or walking our dolls in their baby carriages around the block. We both had cats... she had Tippy a d I had Skippy.. and sometimes we’d dress them up and push them in the baby strollers! (Poor things). We did homework together and shared secrets.
