Obituary of Vincent M Ziccardi

Ziccardi, Vincent Michael "Vin," 78, of Totowa, NJ and Bonita Springs, FL, passed away on October 23, 2019 after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Theresa Ranieri Ziccardi since 1969, and the adored father of Lisa Ziccardi McLellan of Hingham, MA and Lori Ziccardi McGrath of New York, New York. Born on April 28, 1941 in Paterson, NJ to the late Vincent Frank and Ida Ann Ziccardi, Vin devoted his life and career to education. He worked for many years with children through the Department of Recreation in Totowa, where he met his wife Terry, and was a middle school teacher at the Carlstadt Public Schools for 39 years. He served as president of the Carlstadt Education Association and the president of the Totowa Board of Education. Vin was cherished by his many friends and family members in New Jersey, Florida, and beyond. He was kind to every person he ever met and loved the beach as much as he loved his family. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Thomas Ziccardi and his parents-in-law Joseph and Rose Ranieri. Vin is also survived his sons-in-law, Ross McLellan and Peter McGrath; his six grandchildren, Luke, Matthew, Thomas, Julia, Jack, and Maya; his brother- and sister-in-law Joseph Jr. and Mary Ranieri; and many cousins, nephews, and nieces. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the services at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home 111 Union Blvd., Totowa on Friday at 1:00 PM with entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit on Friday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kessler Foundation (kesslerfoundation.org) or Memorial Sloan Kettering (giving.mskcc.org) are welcome.
