Please share a memory of William to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Manahawkin, NJ-William F. Gradisher, son of the deceased William J. Gradisher and Kathleen Comiskey left this earth on October 14, 2018 at home with his family lovingly surrounding him.  Bill was predeceased by his sister Geraldine Philip.  He is survived by his daughters Kristine Gradisher and Cynthia Peters and her spouse, James along with two grandchildren, Anthony Peters and Cassandra Raia.  Bill is also survived by his niece, Donna Zahn and her husband John and his nephew Paul Philip and numerous cousins.  He shared an especially close and fulfilling relationship since childhood with his cousins Fred and John Montgomery.  Also, Bill is survived by his devoted companion, Nancy C. Chanda who shared the last twelve years in happy harmony with him.  At home in retirement Bill's priority was dedicated to being a devoted family man in all areas giving of his time, talent and never ending support as well as giving a helping hand to anyone in need.  Bill was an avid reader of newspapers and historical books, a daily crossword puzzle enthusiast, and had a love of gardening and refurbishing collectables and furniture, making the "old" look "new" and beautiful again.  Bill graduated Passaic Valley High School and Rutgers University with a BS in business.  Bill became employed as a Passaic County Probation Officer in April, 1973 and continued to attend Seton Hall Law School for night courses until his graduation in June of 1975; he was subsequently appointed Attorney of Law by the Supreme Court of New Jersey on December 9, 1975. Bill had the opportunity to spend his thirty year legal career in Paterson, NJ, the city of his birth and early school years.  He was appointed Assistant Passaic County Prosecutor in July, 1977 and served on trial teams for four years before being promoted to Chief Assistant Prosecutor for the Grand Jury where he served successfully for 22 years.  He retired from his rewarding career on August 1, 2003 also leaving one of his most enjoyable activities of playing on the Passaic County Prosecutors' softball team while being the creator, editor and writer for his annual in-house publication of "SPORTS FLASH"- a biting satire of the performance of each player on the team.  Bill moved to his home in Manahawkin in January, 2007 where he enjoyed his retirement years with friends, family and being close to the entertainment offered by this new shore environment and the pleasures of "winning" or "even not winning" when visiting Atlantic City.  Relatives and friends may visit at the Festa Memorial Home, at 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, NJ on Wednesday 2:00-4:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM.
