It's Claudia's birthday. Or, would have been. I hope she's snuggled in your lap

Still going through your photos, Dad. Here you were feeding a dolphin in 1957 on a trip to Florida.❤
I love you,

Bill was a kind, generous, considerate man, who was an absolute historical genius. Approximately three weeks prior to his death, he left me a voice mail that was critical of the foreign policy of the United States, but his history lesson to me covered a span of time, in about 6 minutes, that included ancient Greece. I felt so ignorant. Thank God I saved his rant on my cell phone. The depth of his historical insight is nothing short of astounding.
Thirty years ago, I shared a room with Bill at the Prosecutors' convention. We had the hospitality suite stocked with "some" alcohol. A few people refused to leave the party at 2:00 am, and Bill quickly solved the dilemma by phoning the front desk stating that there was too much noise coming from a certain room. Yes, of course it was our room.
Security threw out the "stragglers." I will not mention Bill's comment to me about the party "hangers-on" individuals.
I wore a pajama bottom and a t shirt to bed. Since I did not sleep in my underwear, Bill informed the office that I slept in "Dr. Denton" pajamas that contained the "feet" worn by children. Bill made everyone laugh like no other due primarily to his unbelievable wit. As I said, he was a true genius.
When the chips were down, Bill was also the most loyal of friends. When a judge was looking for me in the court house, people stated that they had not seen me. Bill went and found me! He took the time out to search for me, and sent me to Judge Hull's court room. I am not disparaging Judge Hull, since he was an excellent judge, full of intellect, like Bill, but had a completely different sense of humor from Bill's.
Yesterday, I was thinking of Bill when I was standing outside of the post office, and strangely, it seemed to be raining on me alone while the sun was shining. I looked up and saw a beautiful rainbow.
Thanks Bill for all you have done. Words cannot express how deeply and greatly you are missed.

Bill was one of the best people I ever had the privilege of knowing. Funny, kind, helpful in any way that he could. Never had a cross word for anyone. I will truly miss him and the world is a much sadder place without him.

Bill was a great prosecutor and a great person! He was also very funny with a cutting but insightful wit. Reading "Sports Flash" ( old timers will understand ) was better than going to years of psychotherapy. You will be remembered and missed with love....

A dear friend to me and my whole family for 40 years. Laughs we had aplenty, to say the least. I saw firsthand what a loving and supportive father he was. There wasn't anything he would not do for his girls and grandchildren. Hearts are broken throughout Passaic county, as well as in my wife and I.
