Helen’s family: I'm so sorry for your loss. I went through a similar situation and I was very helped by the hope that I found in the Bible in John 5: 28, which says, "Do not amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I am sending you a link with more information on this hope.

As God opened his arms in heaven to receive you Helen, Ed was standing right next to him. You were a wonderful friend for over 50 years. Never a harsh word; always thought the best of everyone. Your laughter could fill a room and often did. Oh the fun we had.......dances at Italian American Club......couples Saturday night at your house......Friday night moves and diner after.......New York, NY (theater, clubbing, Little Italy, Play Boy Club, Polka, the slots) and it goes on and on. I will never forget you my dear friend. There is an empty hole in my heart that is held only for you.
Our sincere condolences to Raymond and Lisa, as well as Helen's entire family. Anyone that knew Helen loved her. Rest in peace dear friend.
Love,
Joyce and Angelo Ferrara

For Helen -
I recall vividly the day Mark brought me home to meet you and Dad. You welcomed me with warmth and open arms into your heart and into your family. On July 16, 1983, I became your daughter-in-law, and we were joined forever. You supported me through my widowhood, and I through yours. Over these many years, we have shared everything; our happiness and and our sorrow, the day's events and even music. No one who knew you can hear "Perfidia" or "Blue Moon" without thinking of you! You rejoiced when after twenty years alone, I married Paul. You loved him, and he loved you. No surprise because what all of us know and will remember about you was your kindness and ability to understand all of us, help us to understand others, and most of all, your love and compassion for everyone. We will miss the phone conversations, the wonderful lessons you taught us about life and the interesting stories about your experiences and people you knew. While happy for you that God has taken you home to a new life, we can't help being sad for the loss of our "mom", our teacher, our friend. We will be ever grateful for having been part of your well-lived life. We ask God to bless and comfort your family and friends.

Helen always had a smile, a laugh and something positive to say about everyone. She had a wonderful lighthearted approach to life. She loved people & enjoyed socializing with her friends in Totowa & during the last few years in Florida. Helen would fondly tell me stories about her younger days spent with my grandmother, Josie, and talk about her mother & my grandmother’s time together. Like others who knew Helen, I too loved her very much & will miss her terribly. I know she is resting, at peace & has a smile in her heart.
