Obituary of Michael Vecchiarella

Vecchiarella, Michael age 55 of Totowa at rest in Rockaway on May 28, 2018. Beloved son of John and Joanne (nee O'Neill) Vecchiarella of Totowa. Loving brother of Maura Douglass and her husband Ron of Totowa. Dear uncle of Connor and Kevin Douglass, both of Totowa. Companion of Chelsea Sacher of Cedar Knolls. Nephew of Joe O'Neill and his wife Patti of Boston. Cousin of Heather, Lorrin and Evan O'Neill. He is also survived by his loving pets, Dewey and Bama. Born in Paterson, he lived most of his life in Totowa. He was a Fragrance Compounder for Mane, USA, Wayne for the last 3 years. Prior to that he was a fashion photographer in NYC for many years. He coached baseball and hockey for Totowa PAL and baseball for the Tri-Boro Sting, Totowa. Michael was an avid kayaker, cyclist, rollerblader and fisherman. He loved the outdoors and all animals to the extreme. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Saturday at 9:45 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Bonaventure R.C. Church, Paterson at 10:15 AM. Cremation is private at the request of the family. Friends may visit Friday 3:00-8:00 PM.
