Hancock, Josephine "Jay" (nee Mardo) age 85 of Paterson at rest in Paterson on September 22, 2014. Beloved wife of fifty seven years of Edward J. Hancock of Paterson. Loving mother of Edward Hancock, Jr. of Paterson and Kevin Hancock and his wife, Patricia of Hawthorne. Dear grandmother of Kevin Scott Hancock of Hawthorne. Loving sister of Beatrice Dean of Paterson and the late George Mardo and Mary Salhany. Daughter of the late Charles and Nabhia (nee Massoud) Mardo. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Born in Paterson, she lived in Paterson all of her life. She was a Homemaker. Mrs. Hancock was a parishioner of St. Gerard R.C. Church, Paterson. She was very faithful, living her life for the Lord. She always put her family and others before herself. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Friday at 10:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Gerard R.C. Church, Paterson at 10:30 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
