Joseph Thomas Payne posted a condolence
I would say my Grandfather was not only a loving man to his grandchildren, but also a loving father and husband. He never flew in jets, but would drive all over the country with a camper in tow with his wife and two dogs. I guess he really got to see alot of the country. A quiet man, but when he spoke he really knew what he was talking about. I think he lived his life exactly how he wanted to and was very successful in all he pursued.I guess I would like to find some Black Label beer and make a toast to him. Right now I'll live my life with his memory and know I will see him again.

Joe was my father-in-law many years ago. He was a man of few words back then (probably because Helen never let him get too many in).
Joe was one of the best carpenters you have working on your house -- although I don't think he every made a dime on his work -- just dinner, a couple of Black Labels and a day in the country. I'm sure none of the doors in that house at Barry Lakes would close if he'd not been around to hang them.
I'm glad we were friends again.
Peace, Joe</b></font><br><br>
