Brother of Mario, Jose, Yolanda, Maria, Alma, and Zoraida. Grandfather of Jose Soto III, Johnny Soto Jr., Tianna Soto, Anais Soto, and Aylicia Soto. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Born in Paterson, he was a lifelong resident of Paterson. He was a mechanical engineer for Larkin Service Corporation, Jersey City, NJ for the past 4 years. Mr. Colon was previously employed as a mechanical engineer for Haagen Daz Ice Cream, Woodbridge, NJ; for Fairleigh Dickinson University, Teaneck, NJ; for GMP Corp, Pine Brook NJ; and for Titanium Industries, Fairfield, NJ. Mr. Colon was a member of Local #68, Fairfield, NJ. He was a peacetime Air Force Veteran.
