Well today's 12/21/05 and I found out for the first time this website existed. Robert you were really special to the people around you but nothing compares to tata and boody. Although your gone your memory lives on. As the days pass your memory becomes stronger because our minds continue to remember you. I really wish you were here to comfort your wife and son. I don't know if God relates my prayers to you but I pray that he keeps your mortgage paid because it's the biggest memory that tata has of you. Tata , if you ever get to read this I want you to know that Robert's smile that was always on his face was for a reason. Not everyone can have a smile like his and it's because somewhere in his heart he knew that a magical kingdom was waiting for his presence just like there's an angel upstairs waiting to greet you and introduce you to Robert once again with those same butterfly feelings you had the first time use both met. Robert, I love you and thank you for all you did for our family. Well I'll See you in heaven so keep my chair warm.

It has been two and a half months since you have passed away and it has been difficult on everyone who knew you. You were such a great man and to know that you are gone, it is just so hard to let go. I have come to the realization that this is not a "goodbye" it is just a "see you later" for when it is my time to go I will once again reunited with you. This weekend I went to my prom and remember how excited you were for me and how you wanted pictures. My graduation is around the corner and I know that you will be watching and protecting me from above. Tio I love you with all my heart.... Rest in Peace

I lost my brother today not from a path that he chose but one that was presented to him........suddenly and now he's gone Just had seen him Sunday was laughing, joking, smiling talking about plans for tomorrow And now my heart is filled with sad songs Had the chance to thank him To tell him I loved him Thank god I am habitual in expressing my feelings With the people that I love Nobody in this world could ever replace him His heart was grand Yet it's the same heart that failed him And now he's resting with the lord above. Was going to modify this poem. Yet you know me not to sugarcoat anything. we got tomorrow..well do something then.right now too busy my friend well do somethin together real soon..work has me held up and i know yours does too........ didnt know i would never see you again..you boarded the boat for the eternal and became helmsman leaving us all that love you at the dock waving goodbye our eyes redden..the tears that we cry.. we got tommorrow now without you well try not to be sad not to be blue because we know its not what you would want us to do may god hold you and keep you till the tommorrow when we see you again (in knowing you i know the caliber of man i must strive to be everyday)

My dear brother, I would have never thought you would be gone so suddenly. I as I reflected on you yesterday, I thought of all the wonderful things you did for me. My brother Robert was a exceptional, loving, caring individual. He was a role model for his parents, brothers,sisters, nieces and nephews. His legacy will live on because of his thoughtfulness and unconditional love he had for his family and friends. He will be remembered in our hearts forever. Although, he lived a short time, he left us with a lifetime of wonderful memories. I see why God called for him, for his work was done on earth. Roberto is top shelf, that's the only way you can describe him. I worked with him for 4 years at Haagen Dazs and I also worked with with him at Larkin Services in Jersey City. My health condition paralleled his very closely over the past 5 years and recently my health deteriorated to the point where I'm now in the hospital awaiting a heart transplant. Last week he got the guys from his building together and collected a generous gift and sent it to my home. I was in the process of writing a thank-you card to Roberto when I heard what happened. One of the last things he did in this life was to help another family whose going through hard times, that says what kind of soul he is! My heart felt prayers go out to Roberto and his entire family, God bless! Sincerely, The Spaanstra Family
