Kawam, Sam of Totowa at rest in Paterson on October 16, 2005. Beloved husband of the late Evalyn (nee Azar) Kawam. Father of William Kawam and his wife Phyllis, Georgette Braga and her husband Bill and Alaina Leddy and her husband Joseph. Survivors include 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 2 sisters and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Wednesday at 9:00 A.M. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa at 9:30 AM. Interment at St. Marys Cemetery, Saddle Brook. Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. James Academy, 400 Totowa Rd., Totowa, NJ 07512 and/or Little Sisters of the Poor, St. Josephs Home for the Elderly, 140 Shepherd Lane, Totowa, NJ 07512 would be appreciated. For more information go to www.festamemorial.com OBITUARY Sam Kawam age 88 of Totowa died Sunday. Born in Pawtucket, RI, he lived in Brooklyn, NY then Paterson before moving to Totowa in 1979. He was the Owner/Operator of Lilly White Uniform, Brooklyn, NY. After that, he was a Salesman for Washington National Insurance Co., Paterson for 25 years. In his retirement years he worked as a Mailroom Supervisor in the First National Bank, Totowa. Mr. Kawam was a Parishioner of St. James R.C. Church, Totowa. Preceeding him in death was his wife: Evalyn (nee Azar) Kawam Survivors include: A son: William Kawam of Little Falls, NJ 2 daughters: Georgette Braga of Pequannock, NJ Alaina Leddy of Totowa, NJ Also survived by 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, a daughter-in-law, 2 sons-in-law, 2 sisters and several nieces and nephews. Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa is in charge of arrangements.
