Greenway, John "Sonny" J. age 81 of West Paterson at rest in West Paterson on January 13, 2013. Beloved husband of Mary (nee Nardella) Greenway of West Paterson. Loving father of Mary Greenway-Cericola and her husband R.J. of Brick Twsp and Jo-Anne Greenway-Faggiani and her husband Bob of West Paterson. Cherished grandfather of Robert John and Mary Jo Faggiani. Caring brother of Madeline Greischel, Richard Greenway and his wife Teri, and Florence Fagan and her husband Tom. Survivors include many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and extended family of cherished friends. Born in West Paterson he was a lifelong town resident. He was a self-employed Master Carpenter Builder and a subcontractor for Ulrich Inc., Ridgewood retiring two years ago. Mr. Greenway was an avid sportsman. He was a Korean War Army veteran and served as a Corporal in the 16th Infantry Division of the Big Red One. In addition, he was the recipient of the Purple Heart Medal and a member of the American Legion Post 227, Totowa. John was an endowment member of the National Rifle Association and a life member of the North American Hunting Club. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Thursday at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. Friends may visit Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Judes Children's Hospital, 501 St. Judes Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
