John was a lifelong friend of my brother Rocky and they spent many hours together in the great outdoors just hunting or plinking around. I had the honor of knowing John and he was just a simple great human being. God Bless and hope he and my brother meet up once again in the peasce of our lord.

I first met John and his family in 1971 when I was 16 years old. I had the pleasure of working and learning carpentry from him during the summers when I was off from school, up until 1979. He was more than a friend to me; he was like a father and brother combined. He instilled in me the importance of kindness and respect for others. He was a very talented carpenter and a man of great integrity. John, you will forever be missed, may your soul rest in peace.

John's passing is both the loss of a dear friend and relative but also the end of an era for our company. I had the pleasure or working with John for over 50 years and his skills and his mentoring other employes contributed greatly to the success of everyone else at our company. John's moral fiber was something to be admired and for everyone to strive to emulate. He really was terrific man;I was very lucky to have him be part of my life.

The first time I met you back in 1979 at Aunt Marion & Uncle Joe's house I was terrified of you because they told me "Johnny always carries a gun"....as I came to know you through the years I found out what a gentle and kind man you were ... you will always hold a special place in our hearts and we will miss you. Glad we spent New Year's Day together. Love, Caryl, Bill, Matthew, Amanda & Jonathan
Rest In Peace

John was the kind of person that everyone loved to talk with, he always had a wit to his words that was worth hearing. I worked with John for 30 years and credit him with taking real care in teaching me his craft and starting my career and the careers of countless young men who had the benefit to learn carpentry fom him. He was a gifted Carpenter and a great man.

John knew my husband was into trains and came in one day and gave me a conductor's pocket watch to give to him because he knew he would appreciate it. I've know John for 10 years and he was always that thoughtful.
