Martin, Albert age 88 of Pompton Plains at rest in Pequannock on October 24, 2008. Born in New York City, NY he lived in Paterson and over 50 years in Totowa before moving to Cedar Crest, Pompton Plains 2 years ago. He was a Letter Carrier and later Supervisor for the US Post Office, Paterson, for 35 years before retiring in 1980. Albert was a B-17 Bomber Pilot, 457th Bomb Squad, flying over 22 missions. He was a W.W. II Airforce Veteran. Mr. Martin was a member of the Riverside Veterans, Paterson. Beloved husband of the former Angelina Stifano of Haledon. Loving Father of Alan W. Martin and his wife Linda of Morris Plains. Adoring Grandfather of Michael A. Martin and the late Lisa Marie Martin. Brother in Law of Nick Stefano and his wife Janet of Randolph and Marie Ugliono and her husband Mauro of Oak Ridge. Survivors include many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Monday at 8:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Gerard R.C. Church, Paterson at 9:00 AM. Entombment at Laurel Grove Mausoleum, Totowa. Friends may call Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers donations to Alzheimers Association would be appreciated.
