When I think of Uncle Al, I think of how much he unconditionally loved Aunt Toy. I would catch him winking at her from across the room at a family picnic or gathering and she'd smile back. It was old love, deep love, respected love. It always warmed my heart and gave me faith in true love.
Just a few weeks ago we saw Uncle Al. Brooke looked at him and smiled and in a soft way - he leaned over and said "well, hello." He wasn't feeling great and yet he still made that sweet, simple engagement.
In honor of our dear Uncle Al, we have pasted the words of a Hallmark card just like the ones heard on many holidays or special occasions where he would pull the card from his pocket, carefully unfold it and read it with grace, love and an honest belief in its perfect message.
"Perhaps they are not the stars but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones shine down to let us know they are with us."
Love lives forever...you'll be missed Uncle Al. Our love and support to Alan, Lin and Michael.

On behalf of his Godson, Wayne, I would like to say that every time an amazing person leaves this earth it makes me feel even more humbled. Our bodies can only take so much but our love can leave a forever impression.
God bless you Uncle Al.

Our family has lost a cornerstone of our foundation. I will always remember Uncle Al as the STEADY rock of reason and support. I can remember as a 10 or 11 year old playing a baseball game against Totowa Boro. There was Uncle Al lining the field before the game, he sat at the end of the bleachers the entire game just to show his support for his nephew. That has always stayed with me and his loving devotion to our Aunt Toy.
Rest in Peace Uncle Al,
Love your Nephew Randy

My Aunt certainly picked the best when she married you! None more loving and caring to her. Until we meet again, you are loved and missed here on earth.
