Cullen, Robert E. age 73 of Paterson at rest in Paterson on August 6, 2008. Loving Father of Florence Pollio and her husband Michael of Randolph, Carol Minarick and her husband David of Randolph, Patricia Christie and her husband David of Kinnelon, Michael J. Cullen of Leonardo, NJ and Robert Cullen of New York, NY. Grandfather of Nicole and Michael Pollio and Brian, Steven, & Danielle Minarick and Lauren, Sarah and Irene Christie. Former husband of CarolSue Cullen of Little Falls. Longtime companion and best friend of Monica Jannicelli of Hawthorne. Brother of Leo Cullen of Pompton Plains, Pequannock Twsp. and the late William Cullen. Uncle of the late William Cullen Jr. and many close nieces and nephews and wonderful neighbors. Born in Paterson, he lived in Paterson for all of his life. He was an Employee for the Passaic Valley Water Commission, Newark for 20 years before retiring in 2000. Prior to that he was a Meat Cutters Supervisor for A&P Supermarkets in North Jersey for over 20 years. Prior to that, he owned Bobs Sweet Shop in Little Falls. Mr. Cullen was a parishioner of St. Bonaventure R.C. Church, Paterson. He was a member of the Passaic Valley Elks Lodge #2111, Totowa. He was also a member of the Amalgamated Meat Cutters Union #464, Little Falls. Mr. Cullen was dedicated to his family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Monday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Bonaventure R.C. Church, Paterson at 9:30 AM. Committal service to follow at Cedar Lawn Crematory, Paterson. Friends may call Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
