Pomante, Victor, born on November 11, 1927 of Brick, went home to be with his lord on November 10, 2012. Beloved husband of sixty-six years of the former Doris Anna Alexander of Brick. Loving father of Lynne Padula and her husband Philip of Jefferson Twsp., Janet Pomante and her husband Hudson Amory of North Haledon, Victor Pomante of Ellenville, NY, Steven Pomante and his wife Karen of Woodland Park, Alan Pomante and his wife Sharon of Elmwood Park, George Pomante and his wife Patricia of Vernon and Doris Dumont and her husband Sven of St. Petersburg, FL. Caring brother of Mario Pomante of Garfield, August Pomante of West Palm Beach, FL. and the late Tom, Frank Al, Paul Pomante and Anna Fuimarelli. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren and one on the way. Born in Paterson, he lived in Paterson for most of his life before moving to Brick. Mr. Pomante was an Army veteran during peacetime. He was a Mason for Al Pomante & Sons Inc., Woodland Park and later for Joseph Cavalieri & Sons, Paterson. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Wednesday at 10:30 AM. Cremation is private at the request of the family. Friends may visit Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM, eulogies to be said at 8:30 PM.
