Byrne, Mary May T. (nee Mac Farlane), age 84 passed away surrounded by her loving family on June 14, 2007. Known as Grandma May & Aunt May by those who knew her, she will be missed for all her strength, wisdom and faith. Beloved wife of the late John Byrne. Mother of Jack Byrne of Paterson. and Eileen Burke and her husband, Drew of North Haledon. Sister of Joseph Mac Farlane of Maryland. Grandmother of Daniel, Scott, and Erin Burke. Survivors incluse several nieces and nephews. She was born in Paterson and was a lifelong resident. She was the Secretary for the Paterson Board of Education and worked at Kennedy High School for 20 years before retiring. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home 111 Union Blvd., Totowa on Monday at 9:45 AM. Funeral mass to follow at Jesus Christ Prince of Peace Chapel, Haledon at 10:30 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may call Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Judes Childrens Hospital PO Box 50, Memphis, Tn 38101-0050 or St. Josephs Hospital NICU, 703 Main St., Paterson, NJ would be appreciated.
