Obituary of John M. Docherty

Docherty, John M., Jr. Jack age 74 of Paterson at rest in Wayne on May 27, 2007. Born in Paterson, NJ he was a lifelong city resident. He was the Captain of the Paterson Police Department, Paterson, NJ for 34 years before retiring in 1988. He was a member of the B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge #60, Elmwood Park, NJ. He was a peacetime marine corps veteran and an avid golfer. Beloved husband of the former Inez Romei. Father of John Docherty and Daniel Docherty and his wife Susan. Brother of Judith Fierro and Lynn Docherty. Also survived by 4 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Wednesday at 9:00 A.M. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Gerard RC Church, Paterson at 9:30 A.M. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum, Totowa. Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 P.M.
