Obituary of Louis J. Canger

Canger, Louis J. age 89 of Toms River at rest in Toms River on May 11, 2007. Born in Paterson, he lived most of his life in Paterson before moving to Toms River 30 years ago. Mr. Canger was Vice President of Canger Construction co., Paterson for many years before retiring in 1975. He was a WWII Army Veteran serving in the European Theater. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post # 10185. Beloved husband of the former Margaret E Contaldi and the late Charlotte (nee Billing). Father of Jonathan Canger and his wife Giovanna of Anna Maria, FL. and Charlene Richmond and her husband Steven of San Jose, CA. Grandfather of Nate and Andrew Richmond and Louis Canger. Brother of Dr. R. Albert Canger of Fair Lawn, NJ and the late James, Michael Thomas and Anthony Canger and the late Madylena and Reginalda Canger, Josephine Ramundo and Revina Conti. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Tuesday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Paterson at 9:30 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may call Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
