Johnstone, James Chick age 84 of Paterson at rest with his family by his side in Suffern, NY on May 3, 2007. Beloved husband of the late and former Helen McCoy. Father of James Johnstone and his wife Linda, Donna Maher and her husband Ricardo, Sandra Payne and her husband Bernard and the late Kenneth Johnstone. Brother of Mae David and her husband Robert. Also survived by 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Born in Paterson, he was a lifelong city resident. He was an Employee for the Passaic Valley Water Commission, Clifton, NJ for many years before retiring. He was a parishioner of St. Bonaventure R.C. Church, Paterson, NJ and was a WWII Navy veteran. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Monday at 9:30 A.M. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Bonaventure R.C. Church, Paterson at 10:00 A.M. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may call Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society, NJ Division Inc., Bergen County Unit, 20 Mercer Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601 and/or the American Heart Association National Center 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75231 would be appreciated.
