Obituary of Roy E. Noble

Noble, Sr., P.E., Roy E. age 86 of Wayne formerly of Paterson at rest in Wayne on April 9, 2007. A graduate Mechanical Engineer, P.E., he was Senior Engineer for Picatinny Arsenal, Dover, before retiring in 1987. He helped design the Patriot Missile used at Desert Storm. He was President of the Passaic County Professional Engineering Society, currently a life member. He was listed in the Marquis Edition of Who's Who for his achievements and served as the area coordinator for High School Engineering candidates. He taught evening classes at Newark College of Engineering for 20 years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge # 1895, Pompton Lakes, the American Legion Post # 174, the Golden Key and the Wayne Seniors. Beloved husband of the late and former Dolores Piccino. Father of Roy E. Noble Jr. and his wife Nancy and Grace Noble. Brother of Nettie Devine and her husband Joseph and the late Terry Noble. Son of the late Angelo and Grace (Casapulla) Nobile. Grandfather of Gerald, Roy and Ronald Giarmo and Damien and Jessica Noble. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Saturday at 10:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Gerard R.C Church, Paterson at 11:00 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Relatives and friends may call Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
