Baskinger, Mary Shackil of Paterson at rest in Paterson on February 24, 2007. Beloved wife of the late Albert M. Baskinger. Mother of Maryann Baskinger Finer and her husband Michael. Grandmother of Michael Albert Finer and Dawn M. Finer. She was predeceased by her parents, Fathalla and Alieh Shackil; sisters Elizabeth Hatem, Emily Shackil and Alice Vitale; and brothers Basil, Joseph and Albert Shackil. Sister-in-law of Albert Vitale and Violet Shackil. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Wednesday at 9:30 A.M. Funeral Mass to follow at St. John's Cathedral, Paterson at 10:00 A.M. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. For more information, go to www.festamemorial.com. OBITUARY Mary Shackil Baskinger age 86 of Paterson died Saturday. Born in Paterson, NJ she was a lifelong resident of Paterson. She was the senior library assistant for the music department of The Paterson Public Library, Paterson, NJ for 10 years before retiring in 1984. Prior to that she was the owner, with her husband, of Central Food Market, Paterson for 10 years. Mrs. Baskinger was a member of the Sacred Heart Armenian Catholic Church, Little Falls, NJ. She was also a member of the American Legion John Raad Post #438, Ladies Auxiliary, Paterson, NJ. Preceeding her in death was her Husband: Albert M. Baskinger, 3 Sisters: Elizabeth, Emily and Alice and 3 Brothers: Basil, Joseph and Albert Survivors include: A daughter: Maryann Baskinger Finer of Fair Lawn, NJ Also survived by 2 grandchildren, a son-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa is in charge of arrangements.
