McMaster, Shirley (nee Stewart) of Totowa at rest on February 24, 2007 at home, surrounded by her loving family, after suffering a short illness. Beloved wife of John McMaster. Mother of Cathi Brown and Erin Kennedy and her husband Michael. Grandmother of Nicole, Kevin and Ryan Brown and Connor and Sean Kennedy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. OBITUARY Shirley (nee Stewart) McMaster age 70 of Totowa died Saturday. Born in West Paterson, NJ she lived in Totowa all her life. She was an elementary teacher in Oakland, NJ for 2 years before retiring. Mrs. McMaster was a graduate of Passaic Valley High School and Paterson State Teachers College (now William Paterson University). She was a volunteer on the Totowa First Aid Squad for many years. She also served on the Board of Education for the Totowa School System and Passaic Valley High School. She had been an active member of the Little Falls Junior Women's Club. Survivors include her husband: John McMaster of Totowa, NJ 2 daughters: Cathi Brown of Wayne, NJ, Erin Kennedy of Wayne, NJ Also survived by 5 grandchildren, a son-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
