Father of Edward Vander Berg, Richard Vander Berg, Patrick Vander Berg, Timothy Vander Berg and Colette Sanders. Brother of Bill Vander Berg and Doug Vander Berg. Grandfather of 8 and Great grandfather of 3. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Thursday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at Notre Dame R. C. Church, North Caldwell at 10:00 AM. Interment at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. Friends may call Tuesday 7-9 PM and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. For more information go to www.festamemorial.com OBITUARY Albert W. Vander Berg age 88 of Totowa died Sunday. Born in Little Falls he lived there then in Beaver Lake before moving to Totowa in 1952. He was a town employee for the Borough Totowa for 23 years before retiring in 1983. Mr. Vander Berg was a life member volunteer at the Lincoln Fire Co., Totowa for 55 years. He was also a life member volunteer at the Enterprise Fire Co., Little Falls. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 227, Totowa and the Passaic Valley Elks Lodge # 2111, Totowa. He was a member of the Wood Carving Club of America, Wayne and the International Air Stream Travel Trailer Club. He was a World War II army veteran. Preceeding him in death was his wife: Cecilia M. (nee Oakley) Vander Berg Survivors include: 4 sons: Edward Vander Berg of Wantage, NJ Richard Vander Berg of Totowa, NJ Patrick Vander Berg of Cedar Grove, NJ Timothy Vander Berg of Totowa, NJ A daughter: Colette Sanders of Little Falls, NJ 2 brothers: Bill Vander Berg of Wayne, NJ Doug Vander Berg of Verona, NJ Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa is in charge of arrangements.
