Romei, Louis Gene of Wayne formerly of Paterson at rest in Wayne on November 17, 2006. Beloved husband of the former Mary Ann Olivieri. Father of Louis Gene Romei II and his wife Robin, Mark M. Romei and his wife Maria and the late Carlo Romei. Father in law of Joanne Romei. Grandfather of Louis Mark, Lauren Maria and Jerry Michael Romei. Brother of Mary Holczer and the late Adolf and Carlo Romei. Survivors include many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Wednesday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James R.C. For more information go to www.festamemorial.com OBITUARY Louis Gene Romei age 82 of Wayne formerly of Paterson died Friday. Born in Paterson he lived there before moving to Wayne 6 years ago. He was an Audio Visual District Coordinator for the Paterson Board of Education for 40 years before retiring in 1990. Mr. Romei was a WW II Army veteran. He was the recipient of the Invasion Medal, 3 Campaigns, 3 purple hearts and a bronze star. He was in the 11th Airborne Division, 187th Parachute Infantry. Mr. Romei was also a member of the St. Anthony's Club, Paterson and the Passaic Valley Elks Lodge # 2111, Totowa. Preceeding him in death was his son: Carlo Romei And his brothers: Adolf Romei and Carlo Romei Survivors include his wife: The former Mary Ann Olivieri of Wayne, NJ 2 sons: Louis Gene Romei II of Totowa, NJ Mark M.
