Lawrence, Edward R. of Hawthorne at rest in Wayne on November 4, 2004. Beloved husband of the former Mary Dolly Appio. Brother of William Lawrence and his wife, Mary, Eleanor Sartori, Betty Vaccaro and her husband, John, Shirley Guzowski and her husband, Walter, Delores Marra and the late Abram Lawrence, Gloria Koscuiszka, and Dorothy Romano. Devoted friend of Madeline Muth. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Monday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Gerard RC Church, Paterson at 9:30 AM. Interment at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. Friends may call Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Born in Nyack, NY he lived in West Paterson before moving to Hawthorne 54 years ago. He was a Motor Vehicle Inspector for the New Jersey Division of Motor Vehicles, Ridgewood, New Jersey for 15 years before retiring in 1984. Mr. Lawrence was a WW II Army veteran. Preceeding him in death were: a brother: Abram Lawrence 2 sisters: Gloria Koscuiszka and Dorothy Romano Survivors include his wife: Mary Dolly (nee Appio) Lawrence of Hawthorne A brother: William Lawrence and his wife Mary of Largo, FL 4 sisters: Eleanor Sartori of Paterson, NJ Betty Vaccaro and her husband John of Wayne, NJ Shirley Guzowski and her husband Walter of Myrtle Beach, SC Delores Marra of Wayne, NJ Devoted friend of: Madeline Muth of Wayne, NJ Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa is in charge of arrangements.
