Abate, Antonio of Paterson at rest in Wayne on October 4, 2005. Beloved husband of the former Biagia Di Gangi. Father of Salvatore Abate and his wife, Silvana, Gandolfo Randy Abate and his wife, Susan, and Maria Antonina Quarato and her husband, Nicola. Brother of Calogero Abate and the late Francesco, Mariano, Nunzio, Giuseppe, Vincenzo, Leonarda, and Grazia. Grandfather of Anthony, Claudia, Michael, Anthony, Patrick, Andrew, Emily, and Daniel. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Friday at 9:00 AM. Born in Castellana Sicula, Palermo, Italy he came to the United States in 1968 residing in Paterson. He was a factory worker for American Tube and Paper Company, Totowa, NJ before retiring. Mr. Abate was a parishioner of St. Marys RC Church, Paterson. Preceeding him in death were: 5 brothers: Francesco, Mariano, Nunzio, Giuseppe, and Vincenzo , and 2 sisters: Leonarda and Grazia Survivors include his wife: The former Biagia Di Gangi of Paterson 2 sons: Salvatore Abate of Wayne, NJ Randy Abate of Totowa, NJ A daughter: Maria Antonina Quarato of Fairfield, NJ A brother: Calogero Abate of Florence, Italy Also survived by 8 grandchildren.
