Mappa, Gerald of Totowa at rest in Paterson on July 29, 2003. Devoted husband of the late and former Carolyn Lee Rusciano. Father of Ralph Mappa and Donna Mappa. Brother of Emma Lombardo, Esther Caruso, Nat Mappa and the late Dora Calandro, and Connie Raimondo. Grandfather of Eric and Justin Allotta. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Saturday at 8:30 am. A Funeral Mass to follow at St. Gerard RC Church, Paterson at 9:00 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may call Thursday 7-9 PM and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. OBITUARY Gerald Mappa age 75 of Totowa died Tuesday. Born in East Paterson, NJ he lived in Totowa the past 30 years. He was a Fire Man/ Millwright for Arrow Industries, Elmwood Park, NJ, after that he worked for Prescott Industries, Passaic, NJ before retiring. Mr. Mappa was a parishioner of St. Gerard R.C. Church, Paterson, NJ. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of St. Gerard Senior Citizens Club. He was a member of the Italian-American Progressive Club of Elmwood Park, NJ. Preceeding him in death was wife, the former Carolyn Lee Rusciano, 2 sisters, Dora Calandro and Connie Raimondo Survivors include A son: Ralph Mappa of Denville, NJ A daughter: Donna Mappa of Wantage, NJ 2 sisters: Emma Lombardo of Elmwood Park, NJ Esther Caruso of Clifton, NJ A brother: Nat Mappa of Fair Lawn, NJ Also survived by 2 grandchildren.
