Sylvester, Filomena (nee Pelosi) of Tomball, Texas formerly of Paterson at rest in Houston, Texas on August 5, 2003. Devoted wife of the late Stephen Sylvester. Mother of Stephanie Leonard and June Cholewin. Grandmother of Michele Leonard, Doria Martin, and William Cholewin Jr. Great-Grandmother of Gibson and Nicholas Martin. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Monday at 9:00 am. A Funeral Mass to follow at Our Lady Of Pompeii, Paterson at 9:30 AM. Interment at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson. Friends may call Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Born in Paterson, NJ she was a lifelong resident of Paterson and has been living in Texas since January. She was a Retired Switchboard Operator for Columbia Savings And Loan, Fair Lawn, NJ before retiring, she was also a housewife. She was predeceased by her husband Stephen Sylvester in 2002. Survivors include 2 daughters: Stephanie Leonard of Tomball, TX, June Cholewin of Houston, TX Also survived by 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandsons.
