Buttimore, Helen C. (nee Carroll) of Totowa at rest in Wayne on September 26, 2005. Devoted wife of the late Dr. Dennis J. Buttimore. Mother of Dennis Buttimore Jr., Edward Buttimore, Denise Buttimore and Carole Ann Buttimore-Wolke. Sister of Richard L. Carroll and the late Thomas Carroll, Edward Carroll, James Carroll, William Carroll, Rita Greaney and Virginia Dooley. Mother-in-law of Diane Buttimore, Elaine Buttimore and the late Thomas Wolke. Grandmother of Jessica, James, Ryan and Kelly Buttimore. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Thursday at 10:00 A.M. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa at 10:30 A.M. Interment at St. Catharines Cemetery, Sea Girt, NJ. Friends may call Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. (nee Carroll) Buttimore age 81 of Totowa died Monday. Born in Keansburg, NJ she was raised in Hoboken and attended Our Lady of Grace Catholic Schools in Hoboken. She worked for the Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company, New York. She married Dr. Dennis J. Buttimore in 1947, and the couple lived in Jersey City. In 1956, the couple moved to Totowa, NJ when Dr. Buttimore was appointed superintendent of the North Jersey Training School for the developmentally disabled. While in Totowa, Mrs. Buttimore was active in the St. James Mothers Guild and the Cub Scouts. Dr and Mrs. Buttimore retired to Bricktown, NJ in 1982 and spent their winters in West Palm Beach, FL. Mrs. Buttimore moved to Wayne after her husband passed away in 1992. She was a parishioner of St. James R. C. Church, Totowa, NJ. Preceeding her in death was her: husband: Dr. Dennis Buttimore, 4 brothers: Thomas Carroll, Edward Carroll, James Carroll, and William Carroll, 2 sisters: Rita Greaney and Virginia Dooley, a son-in-law: Thomas Wolke. Survivors include 2 sons: Dennis Buttimore, Jr. of Clifton, NJ, Edward Buttimore of Cedar Grove, NJ 2 daughters: Denise Buttimore of Bricktown, NJ, Carole Ann Buttimore-Wolke of Wayne, NJ A brother: Richard L.
