DeStefano, Vincent Jim of Totowa at rest in Paterson on June 13, 2006. Beloved husband of the former Margaret Trunzo. Father of Jim DeStefano and his wife, Michele and Marlene DeStefano Romano. Brother of the late George, Sam, John, Billy, Frank and Paul DeStefano. Grandfather of Jason and Jaclyn DeStefano and Rocco Romano. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Saturday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James RC Church, Totowa at 9:30 AM. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum, Totowa. Friends may call Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to Mt. OBITUARY
Vincent Jim DeStefano age 81 of Totowa died Tuesday. Born in Paterson, NJ he lived in Paterson and Clifton before moving to Totowa in 1952. He was a foreman for Harold Martin Interiors, Paterson and Wayne, NJ and was a self employed Upholsterer in Totowa before retiring. Mr. DeStefano was a World War II Army veteran and took part in the Normandy Invasion with the 29th Infantry Division. He received the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star, the Distinguished Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He was a member of Military Charter #366, Clifton, NJ and was a member of the Clifton VFW. Mr. DeStefano was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter #2. He was a parishioner of St. James R.C. Church, Totowa.
Preceeding him in death were 6 brothers: George DeStefano, Sam DeStefano, John DeStefano, Billy DeStefano, Frank DeStefano, and Paul DeStefano
