Mellone, John age 65 of Woodland Park at rest in Haskell on December 17, 2024. Beloved son of the late Raffaele (2003) and the late Geraldine (nee Cornetta), (2010) Mellone. Loving brother of Ralph Mellone, Jr. of Lincoln Park, formerly of Woodland Park and Anthony Mellone of Bogota. Dear nephew of Nevine Parente of Woodland Park and the late Pasquale Cornetta (2021), as well as several other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends from both the United States and Italy. Born in Paterson on October 17, 1959, John lived in West Paterson/Woodland Park for most of his life and graduated from Passaic Valley Regional High School in 1978. John was a Clerk for the Pentel Pen Co. for eighteen years before retiring in 1998. His fondest memory was going to the Pentel Headquarters in Tokyo Japan on a work trip and meeting his fellow employees. John was an avid NY Yankee and WWE fan. He loved to watch and attend Yankee baseball games and Pro Wrestling matches. John also was an avid collector of baseball, basketball and football cards. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa on Friday, December 27, 2024 at 9:30 AM. Funeral mass to follow at Our Lady of Pompeii R.C. Church, Paterson at 10:00 AM. Entombment to follow at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Paterson.
