Obituary of Giuseppe F. Barone

Barone, Giuseppe F., age 88 of Paterson at rest in Hackensack on November 17, 2024. Beloved husband of the late Josephine (nee Di Trani) Barone (1998). Loving father of Joseph Barone, Christine Brautman and her husband Dan, Suzanne Caci and her husband Mark, and Anthony Barone and his wife Katherine. Adoring grandfather of Marisel Brautman, Abigail Caci, and Sabrina Barone. Dear son of the late Francesco and Maria Rosa (nee Guarnieri) Barone. Loving brother of Francesca Lucchetto and her late husband Luigi, the late Domenico and Lidia Barone, and the late Maria and Alfredo Mandarino. Dear brother in-law of Marie Terry, Charles and Elena Di Trani, the late Michael Di Trani, the late Angela and Jose Negroni and the late Dolores Di Trani. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and family friends. Born in Cosenza, Italy he immigrated to the United States in 1956 and resided in the West Village, NY, then in Little Falls, NJ before settling in Paterson. He was the Owner/Operator of Barone Motors, Paterson for 38 years before retiring in 1998. He then worked for the Passaic County Probation Department as a Security Officer from 2001-2009. Mr. Barone was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Totowa, the Italian Circle, Paterson, and the Roma Club, Woodland Park. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Thursday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, Paterson at 10:00 AM. Interment at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Wednesday 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 7:00 - 9:00 PM.
