Obituary of Alfonse Matarazzo

Matarazzo, Alfonse of Lakewood formerly of Paterson at rest in Lakewood on May 12, 2006. Father of Ronald Matarazzo and his wife Kathryn. Brother of Vera Gazell and the late Jimmy Matarazzo, Louis Matarazzo, Viola Salvatore, Ann Lauffer, Helen Brown and Mary Bellman. Grandmother of Ronald Matarazzo Jr and his wife Stacie and Christine Farrell and her husband William. Great-grandmother of Emily, Zachary, Ryan, Julia, Thomas and Abbey. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Monday at 10:00 A.M. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may call Sunday 7-9 P.M. only. OBITUARY Alfonse Matarazzo age 89 of Lakewood died Friday. Born in Johnstown, PA he lived in Paterson most of his life before moving to Lakewood, NJ 5 months ago. He was a Machinist for Curtiss Wright Aeronautical, Woodridge, NJ for 20 years. He also owned and operated Als Garage, Paterson along with Big M Plastics, Paterson. He also was a machinist at Rainbow Finishing and Dye, Fairlawn, NJ for 20 years before retiring. He was a World War II Army veteran. Preceeding him in death was 2 brothers: Jimmy Matarazzo and Louis Matarazzo, 4 sisters, Viola Salvatore, Ann Lauffer, Helen Brown, and Mary Bellman Survivors include: A son: Ronald Matarazzo of Point Pleasent, NJ A sister: Vera Gazell of Paterson, NJ Also survived by 2 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, a daughter-in-law and several nieces and nephews.
