Q: How did you meet Wendy?
A: Dear Wendy, I wish I had gotten to meet you. I know you through your sister, Laurie. You are my hero. You fought brain cancer for 20 some years. You beat it back time and time and time again. You kept going and living. I know you wanted to see your children grow up. You made it, sweetie, over impossible odds. Rest in sweet peace now and always. I will miss you, too.

My dear Aunt Wendy,
Your absence will be profoundly felt by me. It has been a true privilege to know you and have you as my aunt.I have cherished all our conversations and the holidays we shared. Your vibrant personality had the remarkable ability to brighten a room. In my eyes you were the strongest woman I have ever encountered. Over the past twenty plus years, you have battled brain cancer with incredible bravery. It has always been an honor to refer to as my Wonder Women. You are now a magnificent angel in the heavens. I hope you finally attained the peace you so richly deserved. You were an extraordinary person. May you rest in paradise my love. Xoxox

Aunty Wendy, before you were a mother or a wife you were sister and an aunt. I dug up some pictures mom had of you… throwback Wendy! You would always call your big sister Laurie every morning at 6:00am not realizing we are on the west coast! Yelling in the phone laur laur! Always with a story. Pris and I were introduce to you when you came out to see us in California! The visit is below. From that day forward you always stayed in contact with mommy pris and I. You were the fun aunt, the aunt pris and I could talk shit with as we got older. You were always a cheerleader at heart for everybody and loved your family so much. Mommy as the oldest sibling and you as the youngest sibling somehow connected on a level I never understood as you both are opposites but the love you had for each other was unbreakable. You use to tell me “I’m your favorite white aunt” and i use to laugh and tell you yes you are and you forever will be. You made everybody laugh and you got along with everybody didn’t matter what background they were from somehow my aunt knew you and they remembered you for your authenticity. Aunty Wendy I celebrate your strength and your love. Pris and I were your favorite twin nieces. You would often say “omg you guys sounds alike” and I would have to remind you we’re twins. You always gave me advice on whatever was happening in my life and made sure that I could call you anytime. Pris and I had such a good time with you always. You were and always will be the life of the party! When I think of you now spiritually, I see that big smile and big mouth ready for an adventure. It was never a dull moment with you and I know wherever your at, they are all knowing who Wendy is! I love you, we are all gonna miss you and I will forever laugh when I think of you because I know a few things you would say that I can’t repeat on here. Fly my beautiful butterfly, you are now at peace. we love you and you will forever be my crazy white aunt

I've known Wendy since she was the youngest & little sister of Laurie. She was a real Fighter for the past decade or so against the Big C, she always fought with determination & courage in light of all her pain especially in the end! My deepest Sympathy to the Lombardi family who helped her the most by being very Loving 5 siblings; Joann, Curtis, Lisa from Utah & Mark praying & caring for her. Especially her oldest sister Laurie from Berkeley, Calif who came twice since August caring & praying with her for a total of 6-7 weeks! Most of all Always being by her side with her daughter & Wendy's niece Priscilla taking Great care of her & Loving her till the very end so she could go in Peace over the Rainbow to the open arms of her Mom & Dad who I've known since 1964. To the Bove family's loss always cherish all your memories of her! I'll always remember your wicked laugh & sense of humor Wendy whom I'm sure you will share with all the Angels in Heaven & your Parents again. Rest in Peace Wendy, the Butterfly is for your transition to the eternal light with the Lord! Love, Linda

To the strongest lady I know. You were the biggest cheerleader for all the kids at the PAL, all the kids heard Wendy lol. Working with you at the school as lunch ladies was always so much fun the memories we made I will cherish forever, you always kept us laughing and you always went above and beyond for all the kids. I will miss all the chats you sent me, they always put a smile on my face. You were a fighter right up to the end, fly high with the Angels my friend, you will be missed!!! Love Ya.

We love Wendy so much! She had a gift for making people feel noticed and loved and was always the life of the party. We love her fighting spirit and know we will see her again someday. We always knew Wendy cared about us no matter how much time passed in between getting to see each other. Emmy’s favorite memory with Wendy was being silly and playing together with the stuffies. Aftons favorite memory with Wendy was getting to spend some quality time together with Wendy and Andy for the 4th of July this year. Hayden’s favorite memory with Wendy was going to the splash pad and playing with Wendy in the water and flying off the slides together! Love Deanna, Quinn, Hayden, Afton, and Emerson Linde

I don't know where to begin. The strongest, loudest, bravest woman I had the honor of knowing. Cheering our kids on together in sporting events, your boisterous laugh , sharing recipes and your love of ice cream. It was an honor to call you " friend". RIP Wendy. You will always remain in my heart and an inspiration to live, love & laugh fully in life. YOU, MY FRIEND, LEAVE AN UNFORGETTABLE IMPRESSION ON ALL OF US
