Obituary of Robyn A Certaro

Certaro, Robyn A. (nee Carton) age 59 of North Haledon at rest in Paterson on October 20, 2024. Beloved wife of thirty three years to James "Jimmie" Certaro of North Haledon. Loving mother of Jimmy Certaro of CA. Dear daughter of the late Ronald Carton (1986) and Helen (nee Silvano) Piccolo and her husband Sonny of Haledon. Dear twin sister of Cheryl Scarmazzo of Wayne. Sister in Law of Jimmy Scarmazzo of Wayne. Wonderful aunt of many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her beloved Pet Dogs, Rufus and Remmington. Born in Paterson, she lived in Haledon for most of her life before moving to North Haledon nineteen years ago. Robyn was a Medical Office Manager for Dr. Liviu Rappaport, M.D. Wayne for over twenty years before retiring in 2020. She was a parishioner of St. Paul's R.C. Church, Prospect Park where she also volunteered for all of their fundraisers. She loved traveling, approximately seventeen times, to Disney World in Florida with her sister Cheryl and all of the children. She also loved Dana Point Beach in California. Robyn was a great cook and baker and was known for her Christmas cookies. Robyn always put others before herself. She was a great mother, wife, and wonderful aunt to all of her nieces and nephews. Robyn was not only Cheryl's twin sister, she was her best friend. They were inseparable. Cremation was private. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa on Friday, October 25, 2024 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM. The family has arranged a memorial mass at St. Paul's R.C. Church, 286 Haledon Avenue, Prospect Park on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 10:00 AM. Please go directly to the church.
