If there was ever a home away from home for Dean's friends growing up, it was his house. That was because Mrs. Trifari was the most welcoming and cheerful lady ever. She was our mom, too. We loved to gather around the family's kitchen table and share whatever was happening at school with teachers, coaches, other kids...whatever. She would always have a big smile and ready laugh for us. Invariably there would be food, and, if we were lucky, some ice tea with a half-cut orange in it. The only thing that would make it better is if Mr. Trifari would come busting in with a hilarious story -- told at lightning speed to us and "Winnie". Being in the Trifari house remains one of my favorite childhood memories. Her generosity and warmth have been passed on to Dean and Tony, the grandkids, and all the family. We're heartbroken but Heaven is now that much brighter because of this wonderful woman. Thank you for everything, Mrs. Trifari.
