Csigi, Louis J. "Lou" age 91 of Haledon at rest in Wyckoff on August 31, 2024. Beloved husband of the late and former Marion Kappral (2009). Loving father of Robert Csigi and his wife Jo Ann of Clifton, Thomas Csigi and his wife Jean of Rochelle Park, and Louis Csigi and his wife Dawn of Pequannock. Dear grandfather of Staci Ann Chmielewski, Robert Csigi Jr, Thomas Csigi, Kristy Prieto, Hunter Csigi, Devin Csigi and the late Robyn Ann Csigi. Great grandfather of Matthew, Sara, Nicholas, Justin, Makayla, Leo and Mateo. Brother of Mary Jankowski and Barbara Arcieri, both of Scranton, PA,. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Born in Scranton, PA., he lived in Lodi for most of his life before moving to Haledon forty years ago. Lou was a Postmaster for the United States Postal Service, Saddle Brook, for thirty-seven years before retiring in 1994. Lou was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Holy Angels R.C. Church, Little Falls. He was a disabled army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the American Legion Post #227, Totowa. He was a third-degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 2842, Rochelle Park. Lou was an avid golfer and a Baltimore Orioles Fan. He also enjoyed dining out. He always looked forward to the Csigi family reunions at the family home in Scranton, PA., and cherished any time spent with his family and grandchildren, especially during the holidays. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at Our Lady of the Holy Angels R.C. Church, Little Falls at 9:30 AM. Committal prayers to follow at Cedar Lawn Crematory, Paterson. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, September 6, 2024 from 4:00-8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude's children's Research Hospital and/or the Make a Wish foundation.
