Taylor, Louis H. "Buster" of Totowa at rest in Wayne on August 20, 2024. Beloved husband of fifty one years to the former Joan Parrillo of Totowa. Loving father of Louis Taylor and his wife Lisette of Wayne and Christopher Taylor of Riverdale. Dear grandfather of Manny, Justin and Camila. Also surviving are two daughters from a previous marriage, Paula Piro of CT and Donna Ferguson of FL. Born in New York, N.Y., he lived in West Paterson before moving to Totowa twelve years ago. Louis was an auto salesman for Town Motors, Englewood, for many years before retiring in 2000. After that, he was owner of Smiley Guy Amusements, Woodland Park (West Paterson). Louis was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Lou proudly served in the U.S. Army, where he developed a lifelong commitment to service and leadership. Upon completion of his service, he attended Becker College in Boston, where he studied Business Administration. A dedicated community advocate in Woodland Park, Lou served as the Director of Recreation for the Town and was appointed a Lifetime Trustee of the Woodland Park Boys & Girls Club. He chaired the annual carnival for the Boys and Girls Club, which was critical in funding the installation of lights on Memorial Field. He made a lasting impact by volunteering his time and establishing the Club's basketball program, fostering teamwork and sportsmanship among countless young people. His commitment to the community extended to his involvement with the Rotary Club of Little Falls and the Knights of Columbus. An avid sports fan, Lou was a loyal supporter of the NY Giants and the NY Knicks. His enthusiasm for sports was matched only by his dedication and love for his family and community. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Wounded Warrior Project or Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Festa Memorial funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa on Friday, August23, 2024 at 7:00 PM.
