Gloria Dulcemascolo Basile, age 97, passed away peacefully at home on August 14, 2024. Gloria was an incredibly loving, kind, generous, fun loving and talented woman. She was born in New Jersey and lived here her entire life. Gloria had the good fortune of living a beautiful life with her late husband, Leonard Basile, to whom she was married for 67 years. Gloria had three daughters, Rosalie Puzio and her husband Frank of Princeton, Kathy Genchi of Totowa, and Paula Flory and her husband Chuck of Princeton. She had 5 grandchildren, Vanessa, Bianca, Jaclyn, Matthew and Erika and 4 great grandchildren, Ella, Callie, Allegra and Brody, who brought so much joy to her life. Gloria had a wonderful group of friends who admired her youthful spirit and energy. Gloria told the funniest jokes and sang so beautifully every chance she could. She spent the last few weeks of her life surrounded by her family who loves her dearly. Her beautiful smile will remain in our hearts forever. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. James R.C. Church, 32 St. James Place, Totowa on Saturday at 9:30 AM. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Mausoleum, Totowa. Friends may visit Friday 4-8 PM at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa.
