Van Der Wende, Barbara R. (nee Venola), age 100 of Little Falls, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family and caregivers on July 26, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Robert Van Der Wende (1970). Loving mother of Robert J. Van Der Wende and his wife Lorraine. Dear grandmother of Carly Van Der Wende and Robert W. Van Der Wende and his fiancée Alexa Benavente. Born in Paterson, she grew up in Paterson, before moving to Totowa for fifty-six years, then to Little Falls for twenty-one years. She was an employee for Yardley of London, Totowa for sixteen years. After that she was an employee for PF Labs, Totowa, for sixteen years, before retiring. Mrs. Van Der Wende was a member of the International Chemical Workers Union. She enjoyed gardening and baking. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa on Wednesday at 12:00 PM. Interment to follow at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. Friends may visit Wednesday 10-12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
