Lydecker, William P., age 92 of Totowa at rest in Totowa on July 2, 2024. Beloved husband of the former Lydia (nee Kokora) Lydecker of Totowa. Dear brother of Dorothy Militello. Caring uncle of Carol Cifaldi. Born in Paterson, he lived in Paterson for most of his life before moving to Totowa. William spent his praiseworthy military career aboard the USS Jarvis, followed by deployment in Korea and aboard the USS Sablefish, and was honorably discharged as a Radioman Third Class in 1955. He was a Police Officer for Paterson Police Dept., Paterson before retiring. He was a member of Paterson PBA Local #1. In addition to the Paterson Police Department, he was a Detective with the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office. He also enjoyed a successful career as an electrician with the Erie/Lackawanna Railroad, as an Investigator with the Prosecutors Office of Insurance Fraud, and as an Investigator to the Department of Banking and Insurance in the Bureau of Fraud Deterrence. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Friday at 2:00 PM. Interment to follow at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. Friends may visit Friday 12:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
