Posthumus, Harry age 81 of Woodland Park at rest in Hackensack on May 28, 2024. Beloved husband of Carmina (nee DeMarco) Posthumus of Woodland Park. Loving father of Brent Posthumus and his wife Emily of Campbell Hall, NY and Jonathon Posthumus and his wife Jocelyn of Fredericksburg, VA. Adoring grandfather of Nathaniel, June, Meredith, and Eloise Posthumus. Born and raised in Paterson, he lived in Totowa and Wayne before settling in Woodland Park. He was an employee for Verizon, Riverdale, for 40 years before retiring in 2001. He was also a United States Army veteran having served in Vietnam. Mr. Posthumus enjoyed skiing and golf. He loved going to the beach and spending time at his shore house. He took pride in being a handyman and fixing things around the house. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Saturday at 10:30 AM. Cremation is private at the request of the family. Friends may visit Friday 4 – 8 PM. The family requests no flowers and in lieu of, would like donations made in his memory to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, 1275 York Avenue, New York, NY 10065.
