Formentin, Maria (nee Ippolito), age 87 of Wayne at rest in Wayne on April 16, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Pasquale Formentin (2012). Loving mother of Virginio Formentin of Riverdale, Mariano Formentin and his wife Orysia of Totowa, and Patrick Formentin and his wife Annamaria of Wayne. Adoring grandmother of Alessandria Santos and her husband Alex, Issabela, Gianna, Michael, Pasquale, and Angelo. Doting great-grandmother of Max and Esme. Born in Sant' Arsenio, Salerno, Italy she lived in Italy until 1965 before immigrating to the United States. Upon her arrival she resided in Paterson for most of her life before recently moving to Wayne. She was a seamstress for various factories in Paterson for many years. After that she worked for the Paterson Public School System. Mrs. Formentin was a loving mom, grandmother and great-grandmother. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Monday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. John's Cathedral, Paterson at 10:00 AM. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Mausoleum, Totowa. Friends may visit Sunday 4:00 - 8:00 PM.
