Obituary of Louis J. Zunin

Zunin, Louis J., age 92 of Pompton Plains at rest in Lincoln Park on March 19, 2024.  Beloved husband of the late Lois Zunin (nee Hosbach) (2013).  Loving Father of John Zunin and his wife Teresa, Robert Zunin, Kenneth Zunin and his wife Joanna, Louis Zunin and his wife Diane, Tracy Zunin, Robyn Luciano and her husband Dennis, and Tammy Martini and her husband Frank. Adoring grandfather of John, Brittany, Priscilla, Kimberly, Kenny, Marina, Louie, Courtney, Kelli, Shannon, Dylan, Mackenzie, Jake, Jared, Sydney, and Camryn. Doting great-grandfather of Nico, Mila, Audrey, Chris, and JJ.  Born to Maria Zunin (nee Almerini) and John Zunin in Bronx, New York, he grew up in West New York and lived most of his life in West Paterson and Totowa before moving to Pompton Plains.  His sisters, Frances R. Hans and Catherine Diehl preceded him in death.  He was an Engineer for Bell Labs, Murray Hill and Advantest, Chicago for many years before retiring.  For numerous years, Mr. Zunin dedicated his time to the West Paterson Boys Club and the Totowa PAL.  He enjoyed coaching and watching all of his children play sports.  He was a US Army veteran having served in the Korean War. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa on Monday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James RC Church, Totowa at 10:00 AM. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum, Totowa. Friends may visit Sunday 4-8 PM.
