Almonte Perez, Jose Rafael age 73 of Paterson at rest in Paterson on February 22, 2024. Beloved husband of the late Iris S. (nee Bayon) Almonte (2022). Loving Father of Carmen Almonte and Wendy Castro & her husband Elieser. Devoted grandfather of Jayda Castro, Kaylin Castro and Robinson Cuevas. Dear brother of Val Almonte, Antonio Almonte, Hilda Cabral, Angela Gonzalez, Arelis Mercado and Margarita Cabral. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Born in Los Hidalgos, Dominican Republic, he came to the United States in 1970 residing in Paterson. He was a self-employed business owner before retiring. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Monday at 8:45 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. John's Cathedral, Paterson at 9:30 AM. Interment at Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery, Fair Lawn. Friends may visit Sunday 2:00 - 6:00 PM.
