Obituary of John J Byrne

Byrne, John J. "Jack" age 67 of Paterson at rest in Paterson on January 13, 2024. Dear son of the late John and the late Mary (nee Mac Farlane) Byrne. Beloved brother of Mary "Eileen" Burke and her husband Drew of North Haledon. Loving uncle of Daniel Burke and Barbara of North Haledon, Scott Burke and Alex Garcia of Saddle Brook and Erin Eckhardt and Chris of Wayne. Grand uncle of Cody Eckhardt, Sebastian Burke and Haley Eckhardt. Cousin of Cathy Mac Farlane and Joseph Mac Farlane. Born in Paterson, he was a lifelong resident. He was an Office Manager for Williams & Collari Law Firm, Wayne for many years before retiring in 1999. Jack was an avid NY Jets and NY Yankee fan. He was a member of the Passaic Valley Elks Lodge #2111, Totowa. He spent many summers growing up at the Jersey shore. He was a 1974 graduate of Pope Pius XII High School, Passaic. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Friday, Jan. 19, 2024 at 10:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Paterson at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-0050 and/or St. Joseph's Children's Hospital, 730 Main Street, Paterson, NJ 07503.
