Obituary of Peter Miceli Sr.

Peter Miceli, Sr. born in Paterson on January 23, 1935 (88 years old) passed away peacefully after a long battle of dementia on December 31, 2023. He was a truck driver over 25 years working for AC Trucking, APA Trucking, BDL Trucking, New England Motor Freight and ABF Trucking. He then moved out to Arizona where he and his wife Beverly opened a restaurant in Surprise, Arizona called Mama Miceli's. Peter enjoyed riding his motorcycle, roller skating and hunting in Maine with his buddies. He served in the United States Air Force, but most of all he enjoyed time with his family.

He and Beverly Miceli (nee Saglibene) met in the early 1950's at Falls View in Paterson. They have been married for over 65 years and created a beautiful family. They had four children, fifeteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He is survived by his spouse Beverly Miceli (nee Saglibene), and children; Joseph Miceli and his wife Robyn, Deborah Miceli Bottomly and her husband Scott, Lisa Micelli Lowe and her husband Jimmy and Peter Miceli, Jr. and his partner Ruth Safer.

His grandchildren, Mandy Pepe, Justin Miceli, Stacey Strover, Amber Reinhardt, Tyler Miceli, Lizzy Sanders, Ashley Handoga, Courtney Strover, Nicky Miceli, Cody Pepe, Courtney D'Ambramo, Ryan Strover, Sydney Lowe, Autumn Miceli and Gracie Miceli.

He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren. Arya Johnson, Desi and Tyler Miceli, Lincoln Sanders, Salvatore Strover, Landon and Lainey Reinhardt and Charlotte Handoga.

He is predeceased by his brothers Anthony and Joey Miceli, his sisters, Antionette Dudzak, Louise Stuppeillo, Mary Buss, Rosie Palicia and Nancy Lazzara.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Friday at 11:00 AM. Cremation is private at the request of the family. Friends may visit Thursday 3:00 - 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations to act.alz.org to support Alzheimer's research would be appreciated.
